Updates, Dates and Interruptions
I haven’t said much about The Prodigal’s Return, so I want to update you on my progress. I am so stoked about this novel. From the opening lines, it has captivated my imagination and I hope yours as well. Rather than start the traditional way, whatever that is, I begin with a battle scene between the angels of light and the agents of darkness as they fight over the soul of one man; Woodrow Dawson.
Having completed the fifth revision, I am waiting for the galley copy to arrive so my alpha reader can begin the first of several edits. My cover designer is diligently working on the final touches. She has sent me three iterations. Here is her latest mockup. I would love to hear your comments
If I were to summarize my novel, I would do so in four words; Reconciliations, Confrontation, Transformation, and Celebration.
As WD sets out across the country seeking reconciliation with his estranged father, he is immediately entangled in a supernatural confrontation. The conflict rages in the skies above him as the unseen forces of darkness and light battle over his lost soul. Joined by his granddaughter, Chloe, they undergo a spiritual transformation as God begins to change them from the inside. On their journey, they encounter many setbacks which test their faith. And with each victory, there is a celestial celebration.
My blogging schedule has been interrupted by a most wonderful distraction. My granddaughter Reagan, her husband Justin and Rory, my great-daughter visited us on their way to Florida and then again on their return. What a joy to see them and know Rory is being raised in a Godly home with parents who love God, love each other, and love her.
